Dr. Sandy Willis, our small animal internist, consults on interpretation of blood work, diagnostic testing and treatment of disease. She loves her role as the Phoenix Answer lady. No question is too bizarre. She also facilitates Phoenix’ continuing education program consisting of wetlabs and seminars on diagnostic testing, communications and internal medicine and creates many of the technical pieces.
Dr. Willis is originally from Los Angeles but loves the Pacific Northwest. She commutes from NE Tacoma and sees most of the Puget Sound on a daily basis. She is a graduate of UC Davis. Dr. Willis was named the WSVMA Veterinarian of the Year in 2015. She currently serves in the AVMA House of Delegates.
Dr. Willis serves as staff for kittens Fiona and McTavish, and young at heart kitties Giselle and Lily. Dr. Willis hobbies are hiking and cycling, traveling, wine appreciation, the arts and weed pulling.
